Spent the last 2 days in Trier in Western Germany which was absolutely fantastic! Full of old roman ruins which were just amazing. To give you some idea - Me (who hardly ever takes photos) managed to get over 60 in one day (with veras help). The one i have included here is of the amphitheater which was the tenth largest in the roman empire!! Also saw one lot of roman baths which had a whole labyrinth (sp?) of passages underneath which was very cool (in all senses of the word) to explore. Ve then spent an hour or 2 at the local playground proving you don't need to use language to have fun on the monkey bars with other kids.
Left Trier for Luxembourg this morning where i am really missing not being able to speak german cos we were getting pretty darn good - well relative to a week ago at least :)

Wow! can not believe these pictures, they are so cool. and with the woolly gear on you look cold. its a perfect Perth day, but I would swap it to throw a snow ball anyday!
Have fund in Lux, more crepe's for Ve and say chocolate in a funny "french" accent and you should be fine.

Great blog! Will check in regularly. We didn't do one this time on our trip from Perth to Bundaberg, too tired from all the packing and removals stuff. Now tired from all the UNpacking and settling in stuff! However, the cat travelled brilliantly with us in the car, slept her way across the continent and learned not to miaow as we were smuggling her in and out of motels! Dogs flew over just fine and gave cat a big shock when they rejoined us in Brisbane. Wish we were on holiday with you though! Will look forward to more pix and stories!
